Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Catastrophe Modeling Analyst to collect, organize, and analyze exposure data for per-account catastrophe modeling, validating against sources and preparing outputs for reinsurers and modeling platforms such as RMS/AIR.

The role emphasizes data integrity, quality control, and collaboration with underwriting, actuarial, and risk teams to drive informed business decisions and process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in Geo Science or Meteorological Engineering or related discipline.
• Collect, organize, review, cleanse, interpret, and analyze catastrophe exposure data.
• Experience with RMS, AIR, or similar catastrophe models preferred.
• Strong data quality, data integrity and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and profile property and casualty exposure data to assess quality.
• Validate exposure data against premium bordereaux, claims, and placements to identify discrepancies.
• Format and prepare exposure data for internal and external use, including outputs to reinsurers and modeling platforms like AIR.
• Process insured exposure schedules for per-account catastrophe modeling and ensure data integrity through queries, views, reports, and QC checks.
• Interpret data and model results to support underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, and business decisions.
• Develop data cleansing techniques and workflows to improve processing efficiency.
• Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain exposure databases and reporting files.
• Identify trends or patterns in exposure and loss data sets.
• Filter, scrub, and evaluate data for performance indicators to fix data-quality issues.
• Identify process improvements to enhance catastrophe modeling workflows.
