Job summary

Outsourced, a leading ISO-certified Philippines offshore outsourcing company, seeks an IFS Technical Specialist to design, configure, develop, and support the IFS Applications ERP platform. You will work with business stakeholders and consultants to ensure the ERP environment remains reliable and meets evolving requirements.

In this role, you will handle integrations, data migration, and documentation, guiding teams and training users to adopt best practices while maintaining system performance

Qualifications

• Design, configuration, development, and ongoing support of IFS Applications ERP.
• Integrate IFS with CRM, HR, supply chain, and legacy systems with data flow considerations.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions for ERP.
• Handle data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, load.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom extensions, reports, and integrations within IFS Applications.
• Build and maintain integrations between IFS and third-party systems using IFS Connect, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware.
• Develop PL/SQL procedures and IFS scripting (IFS Aurena, IFS Developer Studio).
• Create and maintain reports with Business Reporter, Report Designer, IFS Lobbies, and Power BI.
• Lead module configuration across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, and/or Maintenance.
• Participate in full project lifecycle: requirements, design, build, testing, training, go-live support.
• Perform data migration activities: mapping, cleansing, load, reconciliation.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support and maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and liaise with product support and vendors.

The Client

A leading Australian provider of specialist building services, delivering integrated technical solutions across design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and ongoing building operations. With more than 70 years of experience, the company is known for handling complex projects across HVAC, automation, fire services, energy optimisation, engineering, and related facilities services.

The Role

The IFS Technical Specialist is responsible for the design, configuration, development, and ongoing support of the IFS Applications ERP platform. Working closely with business stakeholders and functional consultants, this role ensures the IFS environment operates reliably, meets evolving business requirements, and aligns with best-practice architecture standards.

Major Challenges

To become knowledgeable and have a complete understanding of:

• Aligning the ERP system's functionality with evolving business requirements while avoiding customisation.
• Integrating the ERP system with other applications (e.g., CRM, HR, supply chain, legacy systems) while ensuring data flows seamlessly.
• Encouraging user adoption of the ERP system, addressing resistance to change, and ensuring proper training for all users.
• Ensuring accurate, consistent, and clean data during ERP implementation or upgrades.
• Regularly upgrading and maintaining the ERP system without disrupting business operations.
• Protecting the ERP system from cyber threats and ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards (i.e, ISO27001:2022).
• Coordinating efforts across departments with varying priorities and technical expertise.
• Oversee the design, development, and technical support for ERP applications within the A.G. Coombs Group, ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive support documentation, ensuring effective handovers, knowledge transfer, and ongoing system support for the ERP team and end users.
• Other duties as assigned.

Performance Measures

• Percentage of system uptime at 99.8% availability).
• User satisfaction score (e.g., from surveys or Net Promoter Score)
• Average time to resolve ERP-related issues (e.g., critical vs. non-critical)
• Percentage of ERP modules delivered on time and within budget
• Percentage of users trained or adoption rate of new ERP features.
• Budget adherence for ERP-related expenses (e.g., maintenance, upgrades, projects)

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Work Health & Safety

• Drive and maintain SafetyMAP and ISO Accreditations.
• Comply with WHS requirements in accordance with the Act and relevant to the State or Territory in which work is performed.

General

System Design & Development

• Design and develop custom extensions, reports, and integrations within IFS Applications
• Build and maintain integrations between IFS and third-party systems using IFS Connect, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware platforms.
• Develop PL/SQL procedures and IFS-specific scripting including IFS Aurena and IFS Developer Studio components.
• Create and maintain custom reports using Business Reporter, Report Designer, IFS Lobbies and Power BI.

Configuration & Implementation

• Lead and support IFS module configuration across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, and/or Maintenance (MRO).
• Participate in full project lifecycle activities: requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing, training, and go-live support.
• Perform data migration activities including data mapping, cleansing, load, and reconciliation.

Support & Administration

• Provide Level 2/3 technical support for IFS incidents, triaging issues and delivering timely resolutions.
• Maintain system documentation including technical specifications, data dictionaries, and runbooks.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Translate complex business requirements into viable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the IT function.
• Liaise with IFS product support and third-party vendors to resolve complex technical issues.

Continuous Improvement

• Improve knowledge and develop skills in order to implement and maintain a high level of IT development and support provision skills.
• Identify opportunities to improve system inefficiencies
