Job summary

Farben Information Technology is seeking an IDC Facility & Automation Engineer (BMS/EPMS) for the Philippines on-site role. You will ensure reliable data ingestion for overseas data centers and draw/maintain FM/FE topology diagrams.

The role requires 5+ years in data center operations or quality engineering, familiarity with BMS/EPMS, and knowledge of Modbus/BACnet/SNMP/MQTT. Strong English and Chinese communication is essential for overseas on-site discussions and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, HVAC, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years of work experience, including 3+ years in data center operations management or quality engineering.
• Familiarity with automation system architecture and operating logic, with understanding of logic optimization approaches.
• Solid knowledge of BMS/EPMS systems and infrastructure equipment; proficiency in mainstream communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, MQTT).
• Strong English and Chinese communication skills for overseas on-site technical communication and English documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability of BMS/EPMS data ingestion for overseas data centers.
• Draw, spot-check, and maintain FM/FE topology diagrams.
• Coordinate FM/FE EMS point inspection, integration, and optimization.
• Refine and execute alarm convergence, EOP linkage, and response strategy for FM/FE systems.
• Evaluate and standardize automation technical optimization across similar recurring issues.
• Conduct automation risk audits, change reviews, and technical optimization; support global on-call rotation.
• Drive critical automation technology rollout at global data center sites to ensure equipment automation runs without failure.
• Oversee vendor on-site change work, own system deployment, commissioning, use, optimization, and strategy configuration.

About the Client

Our client is a global technology infrastructure company operating large-scale data centers across multiple regions, currently expanding its Philippines operations team.

The Role's Responsibilities

The Must-Haves

• 5+ years of work experience, 3+ years in data center operations management or quality engineering
• Familiarity with automation system architecture and operating logic, with understanding of logic optimization approaches
• Solid knowledge of BMS/EPMS systems and infrastructure equipment, proficiency in mainstream communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, MQTT, etc.)
• Strong English and Chinese communication skills, able to independently handle overseas on-site technical communication and English documentation
• Strong cross-department, cross-team, and cross-cultural collaboration skills, high accountability and execution
• Ability to work closely with local FM/FE teams to drive IDC control system development from monitoring to automation

The Nice-to-Haves

• Scripting/development ability (Python/Shell) for system deployment, commissioning, and strategy configuration
• Prior exposure to global on-call or multi-site rotation support models
