Job summary

Viventis Search Asia seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily lab inspection activities for ice cream production. You will review microbiological and physicochemical test results, coordinate with Production and Quality, and lead a team of laboratory personnel to ensure testing standards and ISO 17025 compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of lab testing experience in the food manufacturing industry, with preferred dairy or ice cream

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Quality and Safety, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of laboratory testing or quality inspection experience in the food manufacturing industry; ice cream/dairy experience preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of food microbiological testing (total plate count, coliforms, pathogens).
• Familiar with routine physicochemical testing (protein, fat, total sugar, pH).
• Familiar with ISO 17025 requirements and lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee daily laboratory inspection activities for testing of materials and products.
• Review test results and coordinate root-cause analysis with Production and Quality.
• Supervise laboratory personnel and ensure adherence to testing standards.
• Manage calibration, maintenance, and documentation of lab instruments.
