Job summary

Manulife Insurance Malaysia is seeking an Operations Control & Governance Analyst to govern user access, perform reviews, and remediation to ensure least privilege and audit readiness. You will engage stakeholders, report risks, and support CAP management to strengthen controls.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong communication, and knowledge of IAM concepts to improve governance and control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in operational risk, controls, audit, or business operations.
• Strong understanding of business processes, risks, and control frameworks.
• Experience or exposure to operational risk management methodologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of Insurance, Group Benefits, Affinity, or Contact Centre operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end walkthroughs with Process and Control Owners to evaluate control effectiveness.
• Identify control gaps and translate findings into Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
• Partner with frontline managers to perform Business Impact Assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Review supporting evidence with Canada-based stakeholders for timely closure of CAPs.
• Support access governance by reviewing permissions, SharePoint sites, and ACLs.
