Job summary

AECOM Philippines, Inc. seeks an experienced hydraulic/network engineer to support water distribution modelling and capacity assessments. You will perform capacity checks, develop flow analyses and advise on connections while coordinating with international teams.

Role involves desktop modelling, GIS data handling, and client-facing documentation. The position includes a fixed night shift and three days onsite per week, with opportunities to grow in a global infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• Typically 3 to 6 years of experience in water supply network analysis, water distribution design or hydraulic modelling.
• Sound hydraulic fundamentals: demand calculation, headloss and pressure performance, storage and boosting requirements.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic network analysis in a recognised platform.
• Competent use of GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo) for network review and data checks.
• Clear written English; ability to produce client-facing correspondence and technical responses.
• Accurate and consistent work within a defined procedure at volume.

Responsibilities

• Assess connection applications, developer enquiries and planning applications against criteria.
• Carry out capacity checks and detriment analysis to assess impact on existing customers.
• Calculate development demands and flow rates by development type and usage.
• Undertake desktop network assessment using GIS, asset records and engineering judgement.
• Recommend engineered solutions when criteria are not met (upsizing, boosting, or alternative connections).
• Support model build, verification and calibration tasks with data collection and validation.
• Build and run peaked and future-scenario models for growth assessment.
• Conduct fire flow analysis and level-of-service checks.
• Report data gaps and modelling inconsistencies to the project lead.
• Coordinate with overseas teams and prepare maps, schematics and supporting GIS documentation.
