Job summary

Manila Water Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to assess, develop, and spearhead the implementation of operational strategies across the water supply system, from production to the network distribution, to achieve reliability and efficiency.

The role covers master planning, project conceptual design, coordination with operations, hydraulic modelling, and performance analysis to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed civil engineer or any equivalent.
• With at least 2 years of experience in water supply or industrial systems operations and management.
• Must have knowledge and experience in the use of hydraulic modelling and simulations.
• Knowledgeable in WaterGEMS software application is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develops water system master plans for regulated and new businesses.
• Develops and seeks approval (together with Water Supply Facility Manager) of conceptual design of water system project.
• Coordinates with business operations and facility managers in identifying/initiating new projects that will meet corporate objectives (such as OPEX and NRW reduction).
• Preparation and review of studies for systems project.
• Develops, calibrates and updates hydraulic models and simulation of supply zones for regular operational adjustments and master planning.
• Analyze the performance, cost and efficiency of the water supply system assets.
• Develop and implement improvement measures to improve efficiency and minimize costs.
• Put down and execute management policies.
• Perform other functions and act as a corporate resource that may be assigned from time to time as the business requires.
