Job summary

Manila Recruitment invites applications for a Tax and Accounting Supervisor based in San Pedro, Laguna (Hybrid). You will lead the Accounting Department, supervise four junior accountants, and coordinate with Finance, Compliance, and Client Service teams to ensure accurate bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance.

You will review complex transactions, prepare annual financial statements, advise on tax implications, and engage with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of total relevant experience in Tax and Accounting.
• At least 2 years as engagement in-charge, team lead, or direct supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and BIR regulations.
• Must come from a Tax and Accounting firm (not private companies).
• Experience handling BIR audits, LOAs, or tax assessments is a strong advantage.
• Ability to coach and develop junior staff and draft client-facing notes.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding for new clients and ensure smooth engagement setup.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with PFRS.
• Provide tax advisory to clients and monitor regulatory changes.
• Lead BIR defense cases and coordinate with auditors and external parties.
• Supervise four junior accountants and drive performance and development.
• Design training and improve department processes and SOPs.
