Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Smart Grid and R&D Manager in Cebu City, Philippines. You will lead the modernization of the distribution network by overseeing AMI, ADMS and other smart grid projects, and drive R&D initiatives, delivering reliable, safe and innovative grid solutions.

You will coordinate with the AP DU Engineering Group to apply governance, manage technical programs, and advance digital transformation, with a focus on data analytics, cybersecurity and scalable grid modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer.
• 5 years related experience.
• 3 years in leadership and 2 years handling technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic modernization of the distribution network with AMI and ADMS.
• Oversee Smart Grid projects and R&D initiatives to enable digital transformation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to implement technology pilot programs.
• Develop governance documents and ensure audits for R&D frameworks and systems.
