Job summary

GoTeam is recruiting a Retail Accountant in Cebu City, Philippines, hybrid schedule. The role focuses on accurate rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and owner reports for a US-based real estate client.

You’ll ensure GAAP-compliant financial close, month-end processes, and timely financial statements. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience in real estate, strong Excel/Word skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 1–3 years accounting experience, ideally in property management or real estate
• Solid GAAP knowledge and its application to financial reporting
• Strong Excel and Word skills for high-volume transactional work
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Own the accuracy of retail-related financial records and tenant transactions
• Maintain rent rolls, tenant ledgers, management fees, revenues, security deposits, and occupancy data
• Process tenant reimbursements and leasing commission payments per broker agreements and lease terms
• Track percentage rent, index-based increases, and monitor sales reporting
• Ensure monthly numbers are accurate, timely, and ready for stakeholders
• Generate monthly retail financial statements and owner packages
• Prepare and monitor monthly accruals, adjusting as needed
• Review budget-to-actual variances and record correcting journal entries for discrepancies
• Record and reconcile balance sheet activity
