Job summary

Geodata Systems Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager for the Remote Sensing and Data Science Division in the Metro Manila area. The role oversees division goals, manages staff, coordinates development projects, and drives business development activities. The candidate should lead GIS/RS projects with strong ML/DL and Python capabilities.

Hybrid work setup is offered with opportunities to mentor staff and shape strategic directions for data services and tech engagements with DMSS customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geodetic Engineering, IT, CS or related fields.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience.
• At least 3 years leading GIS/Remote Sensing projects and teams.
• Advanced knowledge of optical, multispectral, LiDAR, UAV imagery and imagery processing.
• Proficiency in core GIS/remote sensing software such as ArcGIS, Drone2Map/Site Scan/Reality, ENVI, Pix4D, Agisoft.
• Familiar with ML/DL and GeoAI; AI workflow experience is a plus.
• Familiar with Python programming for image analysis and automation.
• Preferably with a master's degree in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Identify, manage, control, and mitigate risks affecting objectives and goals.
• Prepare and report strategic goals, manpower, CapEx, and developmental plans.
• Contribute to departmental strategy and plans.
• Assess workforce capabilities to ensure staff coverage.
• Plan and coordinate staff development for future roles.
• Assign, delegate, and monitor tasks and personnel utilization.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback to staff.
• Mentor and coach staff for growth and development.
• Oversee the division's business processes and documentation.
• Manage project and tech service implementations.
• Act as Data Services Manager for DMSS customers and monitor data usage and scope.
• Lead and manage provision of Technical Services.
• Lead subgroups within projects.
• Participate in drone flight scenario presentations and demos.
• Provide inputs on flight parameters and proposals.
