Job summary

Avaloq in Switzerland provides wealth management technology and services; we are seeking a Software Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated tests for the Avaloq suite, including ABR/S. The role bridges proprietary Avaloq language concepts with modern automation in an Agile setting.

You will lead test architecture, mentor the team, drive CI/CD integration with Jenkins and GitHub, and write PowerShell and PL/SQL scripts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience in enterprise software.
• Technical leadership in testing, driving strategy and mentoring team members.
• Proven experience applying software engineering principles to test automation tools.
• Hands-on delivery using Jira, Zephyr, and Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban).
• CI/CD integration with Jenkins and version-control via GitHub.
• Scripting with PowerShell; strong PL/SQL and Oracle DB knowledge.
• Experience with Tricentis Tosca and model-based test automation is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software testing and automation accelerators is an advantage.
• Experience in banking/wealth-management platforms is a plus.
• Self-starter and team-player with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test architectures.
• Serve as technical authority and mentor for the testing team.
• Drive test automation strategy within an Agile environment.
• Integrate test execution into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub.
• Write utility scripts in PowerShell and craft PL/SQL queries for backend validation.
• Create and maintain automated tests for ABR/S baseline (SaaS/BPaaS).
• Translate business workflows into scalable test assets across web, API, and desktop applications.
• Develop reusable test components based on model-based testing principles.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and product teams to ensure coverage.
