Job summary

hammerjack in the Philippines is seeking a hands-on FP&A Analyst to turn financial and operational data into accurate, repeatable reporting and insightful variance analysis. You'll work closely with the finance team to maintain clean models and timely management information.

This hybrid role requires 3–5 years in FP&A or related finance, strong Excel, Power Query, and some Power BI exposure, plus experience with large datasets. You'll support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc finance requests.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of FP&A, management reporting or similar analytical finance experience.
• Strong Excel skills with data manipulation, pivots, lookups, and structured reporting.
• Experience preparing management reports and analysing performance vs budget/forecast/prior year.
• Ability to work with large datasets with disciplined validation and reconciliation checks.
• Power Query experience and some Power BI exposure desirable.
• Experience with ERP, accounting, insurance broking, or financial services systems desirable.
• Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, economics, business, or data analytics desirable.
• CA, CPA, or equivalent studies commenced or completed desirable.
• High attention to detail with focus on accuracy and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Extract, cleanse, map, validate, and structure financial and operational data for reporting.
• Prepare recurring weekly and monthly management reports, dashboards, and schedules.
• Analyze performance against budget, forecast, and prior year to identify trends and data anomalies.
• Prepare first-draft variance commentary and analysis schedules with accurate data.
• Support budgeting, consolidation, validation, and scenario analysis.
• Maintain Excel and Power Query-based reporting models with controls and documentation.
• Standardize and automate recurring workflows to improve efficiency while preserving data integrity.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, Power BI, and other finance requests.
