Job summary

Cooee Inc. Career (Be one of us) in Iloilo City seeks a Fire Systems Draftsperson to convert designs and site markups into accurate shop drawings, Revит models, and block plans for sprinkler, hydrant and alarm systems for projects serving Australia.

You will work under the Design/Drafting Lead and coordinate with project managers to ensure deliverables meet requirements. You will collaborate with the Design/Drafting Lead, Major/Minor Works Project Managers, Service Manager and Defects Estimator,

Qualifications

• Open to candidates with 1 year up to 3 years of drafting or building design experience.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit, including modelling fire protection services.
• Knowledge of the NCC and how it calls up Australian Standards.
• Working knowledge of AS1100 series for technical drawing practice.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Planner, Teams, SharePoint).
• Experience with Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu and common data environments (Autodesk Construction Cloud or Aconex) preferred but not required.
• Experience drafting fire protection systems and with sprinkler design/hydraulic calculation software (AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, SprinkCAD) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fire protection drawings from the Design/Drafting Lead's designs and mark-ups, including layouts, schematics, riser and valve diagrams, sections and details.
• Draft sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire detection and alarm, EWIS, gaseous suppression and bushfire sprinkler systems to applicable standards.
• Prepare block plans for fire indicator panels, sprinkler valve sets and hydrant boosters.
• Produce as-built drawings from site mark-ups and issue for handover and O&M manuals.
• Prepare drawing packages for certifiers, fire brigades and clients and update per comments.
• Check drawings against specifications and raise conflicts with the Design/Drafting Lead.
