Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Cash Management and Investment Operations Manager to lead day-to-day cash management, liquidity planning, and investment operations for MP/MCBL/MFP. The role involves coordinating funding, forecasting, and treasury activities with regional teams.

The position requires 5+ years in cash management, treasury, or investment operations, with strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related field; CPA preferred.
• CFA, treasury, or investment operations certification is an advantage.
• At least five years of relevant experience in cash management, treasury, investment operations, investment accounting, custody, or financial reporting.
• Insurance or financial services experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of cash forecasting, liquidity, investment trade lifecycle, investment accounting, reconciliations, IFRS/PFRS, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Cash Management and Liquidity: Monitor daily cash positions and maintain reliable short- and medium-term cash forecasts.
• Coordinate funding, cash allocation, liquidity requirements, and cash optimization with local and Regional Treasury teams.
• Oversee disbursement activities for vendors, policyholder’s benefit payments and other AP processes.
• Escalate material cash movements, forecast variances, liquidity issues, and funding gaps.
