Job summary

Manulife's Asset Servicing team seeks a detail-oriented Specialist to handle data scrubbing, entitlement monitoring, and timely processing of corporate action events across portfolios. You will work with fund managers, custodians, and clients to ensure accurate instructions and thoughtful risk controls.

The role requires strong communication, a proactive mindset for process improvements, and the ability to operate across systems in a hybrid Manila environment, with a schedule Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• 2–3 years in asset servicing, securities operations, corporate actions, settlement, or investment operations.
• Knowledge of securities instruments, settlements, corporate action events, elections, and entitlements.
• Ability to administer proxy voting and class actions and manage related communications.
• Understanding of operational risk, controls, quality reviews, checklists, and escalation requirements.
• Accurate and thorough work under tight deadlines.
• MS Office and third-party data/investment platforms familiarity.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems to process, validate, investigate, or monitor corporate action information.
• Prepare management information, identify exceptions, and interpret data.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail; ability to resolve issues.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management information and lead or participate in governance calls.
• Obtain timely responses or elections from fund managers and internal stakeholders.
• Submit responses and elections on time and confirm acceptance by custodian banks.
• Perform quality checks and maintain supporting documentation.
• Verify entitlements with custodian banks for daily events.
• Ensure accurate processing of trades and corporate actions in systems.
• Administer proxy voting and class action activities and related communications.
• Work within established processes and comply with procedures, policies, and controls.
• Recommend and initiate process improvements and enhancements to controls and service delivery.
• Participate in system transitions, UAT, process transformation, and change initiatives.
• Support continuity through role-specific training and cross-training.
• Stay current on securities industry developments and market practices.
