About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR & Benefits Manager with a strong background in supporting U.S.-based organizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This role requires a strategic HR professional with excellent knowledge of U.S. labor laws and benefits programs.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR partner for management and employees
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives
- Lead employee engagement and retention programs
- Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, renewals, and employee education
- Serve as the liaison between employees and benefits providers
- Ensure compliance with all benefits-related regulations and reporting requirements
- Analyze and recommend benefit program enhancements to remain competitive in the market
- Handle leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state-specific leave requirements
About you
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably supporting U.S.-based companies
- Proven experience managing U.S. employee benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans (401(k)), and leave programs
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, COBRA, HIPAA, and other HR compliance regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred
- Experience with HRIS platforms and payroll systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience supporting multi-state U.S. employees
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
