Job summary

Habitat for Humanity seeks a Specialist to develop programming that expands housing market systems work in the Philippines. You will engage market actors, government agencies, low-income homeowners, and external consultants, aligning efforts with the regional TCIS team.

The position is based in Manila with significant field time and travel. Candidate must be eligible to work in the Philippines without sponsorship. Strong collaboration, analytical, and housing development experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5 years of relevant experience in business, social entrepreneurship, international development, housing, media, finance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supports housing market systems work using a market systems development approach in the Philippines, identifying and soliciting initiatives from market actors.
• Provides portfolio, program and project management on housing market systems mapping, value chain and market research, and facilitation with private sector firms and others.
• Supports monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) for the portfolio.
• Liaises with potential partners such as media entities, construction companies, materials suppliers, government agencies, and financial institutions; co-developing business models in partnerships.
• Provides technical inputs on products/services in housing markets and assists in feasibility using business model canvas.
• Drives learning on disaster resilience and housing market systems; supports market systems program development.
• Identifies safeguarding risks and takes mitigation measures.
• Assists in research, strategy, and planning; leads communications, thought leadership, and sustainability strategies for the country.
• Represents Habitats work at industry gatherings and conferences.
