Job summary

Samba Bluewater Resort in the Philippines is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage procurement of food, beverages, restaurant and operational supplies, equipment, and other requirements for the resort and restaurant. You will ensure purchases are on time, at competitive prices, with appropriate quality, and in line with purchasing procedures and budget requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Good understanding of purchasing procedures, inventory control, and cost management.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing requirements of the resort and restaurant.
• Source and canvass suppliers for food, beverages, restaurant and operational supplies.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and terms.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and other purchasing documents.
• Coordinate with requesting departments to clarify specifications and delivery requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery for daily resort and restaurant operations.
• Develop and maintain a reliable pool of accredited suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Monitor purchase orders from issuance through delivery and completion.
• Coordinate with Chef, Kitchen, Restaurant Manager, and F&B team regarding food and beverage requirements.
