Job description

Every day, we have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we develop the solutions of the future and unlock the full potential of the world's most valuable resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that drive progress in vital areas such as energy, food, water, and marine transportation. As we move forward, the innovative and open spirit that has shaped our culture for more than 140 years continues to fuel our personal growth. In this way, while contributing to a more efficient and less wasteful world, we also build and develop our careers.

Who you are

You are a strategic, creative, and results-driven commercial leader who sees distribution as an engine for sustainable growth. You combine sound judgment and business acumen with the ability to lead, influence, and develop others across countries and cultures. Curious and customer-focused, you turn market insights into practical business plans, challenge established ways of working, and create clarity in complex environments. You are energized by developing new business, strengthening partner ecosystems, and helping teams use commercial tools and processes consistently to deliver stronger results.

About the job

We are looking for an HFH Distribution Sales Manager to define and lead the distribution sales strategy and marketing plan for Hygienic Fluid Handling (HFH) across Hispanic America, in line with the Division's strategy, plans, and targets. Based in Mexico, this regional role will lead a team of Channel Sales professionals and guide a network of distributors and service partners. Reporting to the HFH Business Unit Manager for Hispanic America, you will drive profitable growth across a portfolio that includes pumps, valves, tank cleaning equipment, heat exchangers, mixers, and agitators. This is a strategic leadership opportunity: rather than acting as an additional salesperson, you will set direction, develop the team and channel ecosystem, and connect market insights, pricing, marketing, sales-process discipline, and partner development to build a scalable and consistently growing business model.

Key responsibilities
  • Define and execute the regional distribution sales strategy and marketing plan for HFH, aligned with Division priorities, business plans, and financial targets.
  • Develop the business through relevant sales, marketing, and business-development activities, including market analysis, pricing, customer and partner visits, seminars, and campaigns, to strengthen customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Own sales forecasts and budgets, monitor progress against commercial and financial targets, identify performance gaps, and implement the necessary improvement actions.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach team of Channel Sales professionals, providing clear direction and ensuring performance in line with the business plan and established sales processes, while developing relevant sales, product, and application competencies.
  • Work proactively and in a structured manner to improve the team's sales effectiveness, with particular focus on the lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-quote stages.
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of commercial tools by the Channel Sales team to expand customer reach, generate new opportunities, and strengthen pipeline management.
  • Bring creativity and innovation to business development, identify new routes to market, partner models, and sustainable growth opportunities.
  • Build a strong understanding of each market's challenges, performance, and growth potential, translating those insights into business cases, priorities, and clear commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with commercial, marketing, product, service, and other regional and global stakeholders to align priorities and deliver an integrated customer and partner experience.
What you know
  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience leading direct or indirect commercial teams in a B2B environment.
  • Proven experience in business development, commercial strategy, business planning, and the preparation of business cases.
  • Experience managing indirect sales channels, distributors, or service partners is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing or executing marketing plans and using market analysis, pricing, and customer insights to support growth.
  • Strong process mindset and experience improving sales effectiveness, pipeline discipline, and the use of commercial tools.
  • Ability to lead and influence across functions, countries, and cultures, with strong judgment, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience in industrial, process, engineering, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related technical markets is valued.
  • Previous knowledge of Alfa Laval products is not required.
  • Advanced English (B2/C1) are required for regular collaboration across the region and with global stakeholders.
