Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machines and equipment prior to treatments, including rinsing, disinfecting, and cleaning stations after each session according to SOPs.
• Calibrate reprocessing machines at the start of each shift and safely collect used dialyzers to prevent contamination.
• Reprocess used dialyzers, label and record reuse numbers, and ensure orderly storage.
• Perform priming of dialysis machines, excluding patient-specific treatment parameters.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance of dialysis machines and equipment, coordinating with Technical Services.
• Prepare consumables needed for dialysis treatments and ensure adequate stock in storeroom.
• Assist staff nurses during pre- and post-dialysis assessments, including CPR if needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the clinic, dialysis stations, and storeroom; light housekeeping.
• Serve as Clinic Safety Officer, monitoring compliance with safety protocols.

Job description

The Dialysis Technician is responsible for preparing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring dialysis machines and equipment to ensure safe and effective hemodialysis treatments at B. Rother Renal Care. The technician works closely with staff nurses and the Unit Head to support dialysis procedures, maintain proper infection control, manage consumables and supplies, and assist in emergency situations. Additionally, the role includes performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties during downtime to ensure a safe, hygienic, and orderly clinic environment. The Dialysis Technician also contributes to preventive maintenance, documentation of machine usage, and adherence to safety standards and clinic protocols, supporting the smooth operation of the dialysis unit and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
