Objectives of Role
The HSE Coordinator will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) system and programs for DT Global in the Asia Pacific region. This role will further support the HSSE team to ensure compliance with WHS legislation, ISO45001 standard, ISO9001 standard and client contracts, while promoting an incident and injury prevention safety culture and supporting staff in risk management and incident response.
Roles and Responsibilities
HSSE System Support
- Maintenance and continual improvement of the Travel Deployment Approval module within DT Global’s internal (Project) Management System (Mitra).
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the HSSE extranet page.
- Develop and distribute HSSE communication materials.
- Assist in the administration of HSSE training compliance, including performance reporting, staff reminders, and record‑keeping and, where appropriate, contributing to needs analyses and training content and/or training delivery.
- Navigate, understand and provide support for the Sonic Health Plus medical booking and results system.
- Monitor and action the APAC HSE and incident email mailboxes.
HSSE Operations Support and Engagement
- Coordinate regularly with other HSE and project personnel on the Travel Deployment process and the use of the Deployment module in the Mitra system.
- Provide support relating to travel and deployment, incidents, corrective actions, audits and administrative compliance related tasks as assigned by the HSE Manager or HSSE Advisor.
- Perform the role of the ID Manilla Office HSE Representative including the conducting of Manila office HSE inspection and associated HSE training.
- Monitor, collate, and report on HSSE compliance information, including key updates, incident alerts, and travel advisories.
- Assist the HSE Manager to compile performance and analysis data for monthly / quarterly reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
Incident & Injury Management
- Provide support to staff across the business on how to report hazards, unsafe situations, incidents, and injuries immediately as per reporting process.
- Notify incidents to the HSE and Security Manager in a timely manner and in an immediate manner where there is a serious injury or fatality.
- Support the incident management and investigation process for relevant HSSE related incidents.
- Administer incident management systems including timely input of information, accuracy of data and development of effective preventive/corrective actions.
- Monitor and provides timely close out of assigned corrective actions arising from incident investigations, internal audits etc.
- Ensure privacy and confidentiality of information in accordance with internal requirements and applicable legislation.
Continuous Improvement, Assurance & Compliance
- Support the HSSE team to ensure systems, processes, and activities comply with relevant Work Health, Safety, and Environment legislation, ISO45001, DT Global APAC HSSE Management System, and client contracts.
- Assists with DT Global’s compliance and ongoing certification to ISO45001 standards, including preparation for and coordination of annual external surveillance audits and triennial recertification audits.
- Promote continuous improvement to the HSE system.
- Assist with managing corrective/preventive actions in accordance with the associated systems and processes.
- Assist with scheduling and communication in relation to internal HSSE audits.
- Implement and comply with DT Global Asia Pacific’s Quality Management System in accordance with ISO9001 and provide feedback/recommendations.
- Apply level of authority as per internal QF1-1 Level of Authority Schedule, signatures and Initials.
Personal Health & Safety
- Take reasonable care for your health and safety in the workplace.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may be affected by what you do or don’t do.
- Follow any reasonable health and safety instructions from DT Global, which may include health and safety work policies, procedures, and training.
- Ask for assistance if you do not understand how to safely use equipment or perform your work.
- Report hazards, unsafe situations, incidents and injuries immediately to DT Global as per the reporting process.
- Other responsibilities as outlined in the DT Global APAC HSE Management System documentation.
About You
Essential Experience, Knowledge and Attributes
- Confident, self‑motivated and able to use initiative;
- Intermediate IT skills;
- Demonstrated fluency in spoken and written English, including the ability to prepare clear, professional documentation and communicate complex information effectively.
- Ability to confidently explain, interpret and communicate HSE systems, processes and compliance requirements to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Efficient time management and organisation skills;
- Strong attention to detail.
Desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in occupational health and safety or similar field.
