You will edit course structure, outcomes, and assessment prompts, ensuring quality of content on topics like EHR, health data management, and healthcare IT systems. Strong background in health informatics education is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Health IT, Biomedical Informatics, or related field.
• Experience teaching courses in a college or university setting.
• Experience creating, updating, or revising courses at a college or university level.
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare data systems, electronic health records (EHR), and health information technology.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit existing college-level Health Informatics course structure and materials.
• Evaluate and adjust recommended updates to existing course structure.
• Review learning outcomes and competencies for accuracy and alignment with standards.
• Edit skill-oriented course sections and organize topics (e.g., EHR, health data management, HIT systems).
• Refine response prompts and rubrics; evaluate MCQs for quality and accuracy.

Health Informatics Course Editor

Course Editors play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our credit-recommended college courses. This project aims to enhance and update college-level courses to ensure they meet current academic standards and industry requirements. This is an online, remote contract role.This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid per hour.

Project Description

You will review and edit existing college-level Health Informatics course structure and materials. This is expected to include tasks such as (but not limited to):

• Evaluating and adjusting recommended updates to existing course structure
• Reviewing course learning outcomes and competencies for accuracy and alignment with current health informatics standards
• Editing skill-oriented course sections and ensuring proper organization of topics such as electronic health records, health data management, and healthcare IT systems
• Reviewing and refining response assignment prompts and rubrics
• Evaluating existing multiple choice questions for quality and accuracy

Required Skills

• Master's degree or higher in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Health IT, Biomedical Informatics, or a closely related field
• Experience teaching courses in a college or university setting
• Experience creating, updating, or revising courses at a college or university level
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare data systems, electronic health records (EHR), and health information technology
