Job summary

Hospital Authority - Kowloon Central Cluster invites applications for a Statistical Analyst I (Data Analytics) to support data visualization, analytics and modelling across health data projects. The post is seconded to the Research and Data Analytics Office, Health Bureau with responsibilities spanning data extraction, transformation and dissemination of statistical outputs.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor degree in Statistics or Data Science and have at least 3 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Science or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in statistical analysis and computing work, or research related work.
• Knowledge of statistical computing techniques and packages such as SAS, Tableau, Python, R, GIS.
• Knowledge of AI and big data techniques for data processing, data visualization and analytics.
• Experience with demographic, socio-economic and health statistics.
• Experience in health settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of English and Chinese; strong communication skills.
• Able to work independently and eager to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Exploration of data from multiple sources to support data visualization and modelling.
• Develop processes to extract and transform data into analyzable datasets.
• Implement planned data visualization and analytics tasks.
• Prepare documentation of statistical production processes and materials.
• Update Domestic Health Accounts and data models in the analytics platform.
• Plan and disseminate results of surveys and research studies.
• Maintain day-to-day statistical systems and databases.
