Job summary

Newtrends International Corporation seeks an experienced merchandiser/planner to lead demand forecasting across channels and markets, ensuring accurate projections and reduced inventory risk.

You will develop merchandising strategies, analyze market trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and drive product launches with effective visuals and promotions, while managing a high-performing team in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineer, or a related field.
• With at least 7 years of related experience for the role.
• Proven experience in merchandising, product management, or retail buying, preferably in the retail industry in the Philippines.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business results and achieving financial targets.
• Leadership capabilities with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement demand forecasting models to predict product demand across channels and markets.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to incorporate promotional activities and seasonal variations into forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and performance to identify imbalances and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and execute merchandising strategies aligned with objectives, brand, and customer preferences.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and suppliers to optimize pricing and product exclusivity.
• Partner with marketing on product launches, promotions, and visual merchandising to boost sales.
