Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Head of Data & Integration Operations to lead IT EDP Data & Integration globally. You will oversee 2nd level support for core platform components and shape onboarding and support capabilities across Americas, EU and APAC.

You will build and mentor a diverse team, define strategic direction, collaborate with platform product teams and partners, and drive operational excellence, system stability, cybersecurity, and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT or related field with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of people leadership experience with globally distributed teams.
• Experience in support, training, or delivery of software solutions/products.
• Pharma/Biotech industry experience and familiarity with GxP and regulatory compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

The Position Join our Global IT organization as the Head of Data & Integration Operations and play a pivotal leadership role within IT EDP Data & Integration. As a global leader, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, delivering high-quality support services, and shaping the strategic direction of platform onboarding and support capabilities across a complex international landscape.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Global Support Oversight: Manage 2nd level support for core platform components such us but not limited to: CI/CD Jenkins, GitHub, Atlassian, Datahub, Snowflake, Databricks, Collibra, Power BI, Tableau, Software Development and AI platforms…, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution across the Americas, EU, and APAC regions Training & Development: Collaborate with platform product teams to design and deliver impactful training programs that enhance user skills and platform adoption Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships and feedback loops with platform product teams and implementation partners to continuously improve our services

Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and develop a diverse team, guiding individuals in their career progression and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture Strategic Direction: Define and execute the strategy for Platform Onboarding and Support services, adapting to evolving business needs and technology trends Cross-Functional Engagement: Interface with senior leaders to gather insights and drive the continuous growth and improvement of our services

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) in IT or related field, with 8-10 years of relevant experience Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience in IT, preferably with globally distributed teams Proven background in support, training, or delivery of software solutions / products

Experience in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus Solid understanding of GxP, Computer Systems Validation, regulatory requirements, and pharma compliance is highly desirable Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Strong collaboration skills, working effectively across departments and with external partners Passion for coaching, developing talent, and fostering professional growth
