The Position Join our Global IT organization as Head of Salesforce Development and play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering Salesforce solutions that support Marketing and Sales Operations across Boehringer Ingelheim globally. As part of a large and complex Salesforce ecosystem, you will lead a team of developers responsible for delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across Salesforce and integrated platforms.

You will oversee technical delivery, align development priorities with business roadmaps, remove delivery roadblocks, and foster a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture. This role offers the opportunity to combine people leadership, technical expertise, and strategic partnership while working with stakeholders across different regions and functions. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Salesforce certifications highly preferred)

8+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, including a proven track record of managing engineering teams and delivering complex enterprise solutions Strong conceptual understanding of Salesforce multi-cloud architecture, data models, and platform security Strong technical background in Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Flows) to evaluate technical risks, review solutions, and champion development excellence

Solid understanding of enterprise integration methods to ensure stability and performance Experience driving modern DevOps process, overseeing automated CI/CD pipelines, and managing release deployment frameworks Experience managing team delivery, unblocking challenges, and coordinating resolution of critical platform issues

Proven people-management skills, including managing team capacity, allocating resources, and conducting performance reviews Passion for fostering team health, facilitating knowledge sharing, and creating peer-coaching opportunities to continuously elevate the team's technical skills Strategic, solution-oriented mindset focused on aligning business requirements with overall technical capability and delivery roadmaps
