Job summary

Viventis Search Asia collaborates with a healthcare client in Metro Manila to recruit an IT Head / Chief Information Officer who will provide technology vision and leadership for the affiliate-wide IT program.

The CIO will direct the IT department, ensuring secure operation of all systems and alignment of IT with business strategy in a diverse healthcare environment, reporting to the President.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering; master’s degree desirable.
• 10+ years of management experience.
• 5+ years in planning, implementing and supporting healthcare IT systems.
• Ability to translate technical language for non-technical audiences.
• Strong inclusive leadership and teamwork in a diverse culture.

Job description

Our healthcare client is looking for an IT Head / Chief Information Officer. Reporting directly to the President, he/she will be accountable for providing technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the affiliate-wide information technology (IT) program. He/She will direct, plan, organize and control all activities of the IT department and to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of all automated data processing systems of the organization. The CIO will lead the healthcare organization in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations. The CIO implements the information security and data privacy policies of the organization.

Skills & knowledge requirements:

• Advanced working knowledge of the current healthcare environment.
• Advanced knowledge on design, management, and operation of managed IT systems.
• Advanced knowledge on business process analysis and redesign.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
• Ability to cultivate effective partnerships and work in collaboration with iternal and external key stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, industrial or Management Engineering, or any related field; master’s degree or units highly desirable.
• At least ten years of related professional-level and management experience
• At least 5 years’ experience in planning, implementing and supporting systems in a complex health care environment.
• Highly skilled in translating technical language to lay audiences
• Worked extensively in linking and applying complex technologies to business strategies
• An inclusive leadership style that is strong in teamwork
