Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Head of HSSE in Metro Manila to lead strategy and execution across health, safety, security, and environment. You will develop policies, oversee audits, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance, reporting to senior management the HSSE performance and readiness for continuity.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in HSSE with at least 5 in senior leadership, plus ISO 14001/OHSAS certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HSSE management, with at least 5 years in a head or senior leadership role.
• Professional certification such as OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 certification, or equivalent HSSE qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining robust HSSE policies, procedures, and frameworks across all operational sites.
• Establishing and monitoring KPIs related to health, safety, security, and environmental compliance.
• Conducting regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Leading incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementing preventative actions to minimize workplace accidents and near misses.
• Managing emergency response protocols and ensuring business continuity planning across all facilities.
• Overseeing environmental compliance programs, including waste management, emissions monitoring, and sustainability initiatives.
• Developing and delivering HSSE training and awareness programs for all employees.
• Partnering with operational teams to integrate HSSE considerations into all business activities and decision-making processes.
• Maintaining relationships with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and external stakeholders regarding compliance matters.
• Managing the HSSE budget and resources effectively to support operational needs.
• Leading and mentoring the HSSE team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Reporting on HSSE performance to senior management and the Board on a regular basis.
