Asia Pacific World Holdings is seeking a Head of Finance & Operations to lead the finance function across a diversified portfolio of properties and energy assets. You will oversee financial reporting, governance, and strategic analysis to drive efficiency and value creation.

The role combines hands-on oversight with partnerships to evaluate investments, manage cashflow, and optimise funding. Strong leadership and international experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA) strongly preferred.
• 8–12+ years in finance with 3–5 years in a senior/supervisory role.
• Experience in property, real estate, hospitality, energy, or infra sectors desirable.
• Strong IFRS/GAAP and tax compliance knowledge across jurisdictions.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Job Summary

The Head of Finance & Operationswill support the VP Finance & Hotel Operations / Group CFO in leading the finance function across a diversified portfolio of property and energy assets, ensuring strong financial governance, strategic insight, and operational efficiency. This role combines hands-on financial oversight with strategic input, including performance monitoring, investment evaluation, and funding/cashflow management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Oversight

• Oversee and manage the finance function across multiple entities and jurisdictions

• Lead and develop a team of accountants, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement

• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across all business units

• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Manage multi-currency reporting and consolidation into group reporting currency

1. Strategic & Commercial Support

• Provide financial analysis on property acquisitions, disposals, and energy projects

• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses

• Partner with operational teams to improve profitability and cost efficiency

1. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cashflow

• Support the group budgeting and forecasting process

• Monitor and optimize cashflow, liquidity, and working capital across entities

• Manage funding structures, intercompany balances, and capital allocation

1. Compliance, Risk & Governance

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, VAT, and statutory requirements across all jurisdictions

• Oversee audits (internal and external) and ensure readiness of all supporting documentation

• Strengthen financial controls, policies, andprocedures across the group

• Maintain compliance with lender and investor reporting requirements

1. Financial Operations & Systems

• Oversee ERP system (NetSuite) integrity, reporting structures, and continuous improvement

• Ensure efficient processes for:

- General ledger and reconciliations

- Accounts payable and receivable

- Revenue recognition (including multi-currency environments)

• Lead system enhancements and finance process automation initiatives

1. Stakeholder Management

• Act as key finance contact for:

- Group CFO and shareholders

- External auditors and advisors

- Operational management teams (including property managers)

• Present financial performance and insights at senior management level

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)

• Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) strongly preferred

• 8–12+ years’ progressive experience in finance, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or supervisory role

• Experience in property, real estate, hospitality, energy, or infrastructure sectors highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of IFRS / GAAP, tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and group consolidations

• Proven experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred) and financial reporting tools

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
