Job summary

KBR is seeking a Hazardous Materials Waste Specialist for the Philippines to plan, coordinate, and supervise hazardous material management for the MCPP-PHIL Task Order. The role emphasizes OSHA compliance, regulatory adherence, and safe handling, processing, packaging and storage of diverse hazardous materials and wastes.

Qualifications

• AA degree in safety or environmental engineering or related field.
• In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of college credits or training and related work experience considered.
• Six years of directly related work in Hazardous Materials management, including classification, labeling, segregation, inspection, and certification for transportation.
• Completion of HQMC approved formal school(s) or OSHA course(s) certifying knowledge on safe hazardous materials/waste management per federal regulations.
• Completion of Hazardous Materials/Waste Course per OSHA 29 CFR 1910-120 or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Philippines Work Permit.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations for hazardous materials and waste.
• Manage storage, distribution, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Provide hazardous material identification and handling training and support.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage shipping and receiving of hazardous materials.
• Prepare technical reports and correspondence on issues and corrective actions.
• Maintain ISO policies and procedures for MCPP-PHIL; ensure ongoing compliance.
