Job summary

Teradyne Philippines, Ltd. - Cebu is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support PCBA development, hardware design, and validation efforts. You will collaborate with US and global teams, interpreting schematics and guiding PCB designers.

The role requires a BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, hands-on lab skills, and willingness to travel to the US for project support. Local candidates only; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required.
• Ability to interpret board schematics accurately.
• Proficient with lab equipment and testing tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on, practical approach to problem solving.
• High sense of urgency with strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office, including Visio.
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter is a plus.
• Experience creating PCB outline drawings is a plus.
• Willing to travel to the US to support Teradyne products.
• Local candidates only; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Support US Hardware engineering team in PCBA development.
• Attend product development and critical kick-off meetings for initial product launch.
• Create board schematic design based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Create/submit Commodity Part Requests for parts needed in board schematic design.
• Create and process ECNs to release and/or modify designs as required.
• Guide and provide technical assistance to PCB designers on parts placement and routing.
• Perform QA inspection on final designs for completeness and quality.
• Create PCBA design validation test plans.
• Perform design validations on new boards and/or board respins.
• Review parts with AVL issues and provide resolutions.
• Meet face to face with Hardware/Applications engineers and designers to review projects.
• Travel when needed to North Reading factory to perform final product verification.
