Job summary

PaxSigna, a specialist talent solutions division of the Lennor Group, seeks an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer in the Philippines in a hybrid setup (3 days WFH, 2 days onsite at BGC). You will design, configure, and integrate Guidewire PolicyCenter and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of IT experience with insurance domain exposure.
• 4+ years hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter development.
• Current Guidewire PolicyCenter ACE Certification (mandatory).
• Experience in Guidewire implementation, enhancement, migration, or upgrade projects.
• Solid understanding of P&C insurance processes and requirements.
• Familiar with Guidewire configuration, Gosu, Studio, PCF, typelists, UI, and rules engines.
• Proficient in REST/SOAP integrations and Guidewire Integration Framework.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with Git/Bitbucket/SVN.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and effective communicator.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, customize, and support Guidewire PolicyCenter applications.
• Develop and maintain business rules, product models, configurations, workflows, and integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, BAs, architects, and QA to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP, messaging, and Guidewire Framework.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
• Participate in estimation, design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Support deployment, release management, and implementation tasks.
• Prepare technical design documents and maintain project docs.
• Collaborate with QA during testing and defect resolution.
• Contribute to projects involving Guidewire PolicyCenter.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, customize, and support Guidewire PolicyCenter applications.
• Develop and maintain business rules, product model configurations, workflows, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and QA teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Build and maintain integrations using SOAP/REST web services, messaging frameworks, and the Guidewire Integration Framework.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with Guidewire development standards, best practices, and design patterns.
• Troubleshoot application defects and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions.
• Participate in effort estimation, technical design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Support deployment activities, release management, and implementation-related tasks.
• Prepare technical design documents and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Collaborate with QA teams during testing, defect investigation, and resolution activities.
• Contribute to implementation, enhancement, migration, and upgrade projects involving Guidewire PolicyCenter.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of overall IT experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter development experience.
• Current and valid Guidewire PolicyCenter ACE Certification — mandatory.
• Experience working on Guidewire implementation, enhancement, migration, or upgrade projects.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes and business requirements.
• Solid knowledge of Guidewire development best practices, configuration standards, and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with PolicyCenter configuration, Gosu programming, Guidewire Studio, product model configuration, data model extensions, PCF, typelists, UI configuration, rules engines, and batch processes.
• Experience developing and supporting integrations through REST/SOAP web services and the Guidewire Integration Framework.
• Working knowledge of SQL, database concepts, and version control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or SVN.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage technical requirements in an Agile delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud and cloud-based PolicyCenter implementations.
• Exposure to Guidewire PolicyCenter upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Integration Gateway, ContactManager, and BillingCenter.
• Experience with Kafka, MuleSoft, or other enterprise integration platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to Guidewire Digital Portal solutions.
• Additional Guidewire certifications beyond the mandatory PolicyCenter ACE Certification.
• Experience contributing to solution design, stakeholder coordination, and technical decision-making.
