Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking Independent Contractors for Project Lupin to help improve AI-powered speech recognition through verbatim transcription and audio segmentation tasks. You will work remotely with flexible hours, earning based on audio hours transcribed and billed.

This role emphasizes accuracy, timing, and speaker labeling across multi-person conversations. The project offers no fixed schedule beyond a minimum weekly commitment, with training provided and payments calculated per audio hour

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Greek (regional accents & informal speech).
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce verbatim transcription including stutters and fillers.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is an advantage.
• Comfortable using browser-based tools (training provided).
• Reliable internet connection.
• Access to a laptop or desktop (mobile devices not supported).
• Available for minimum 10+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

Project Lupin aims to help improve AI-powered speech recognition models

In this project, participants contribute by checking and modifying the audio segmentation and transcription. The transcriptions generated will contribute to the development of improved AI-powered speech recognition models.

Task Summary

You will listen to real audio recordings and produce precise, verbatim transcripts — capturing not just what was said, but how it was said. That means every “uh,” every repeated word, and every trailing sentence matters. Your work will include:

• Verbatim transcription with a target of 98%+ accuracy
• Timestamping segments with less than 500ms deviation
• Speaker labeling for conversations with 2 to 8 participants
• Event annotation for non-speech elements (e.g., laughter, background noise, unintelligible audio)

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Greek, including familiarity with regional accents and informal speech
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is an advantage.
• Comfortable using browser-based tools (training will be provided).
• Reliable internet connection.
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer (mobile devices are not supported).
• Reliable availability for minimum 10+ hours per week.

This project follows a first-come, first-served approach and operates with demographic quotas to ensure fair and balanced representation across all participant groups. As a result, some individuals may not receive a task assignment if their group has already been filled.

$32.50 - $32.50 an hour

Payments for the project will be made based on the number of audio hours that you transcribe.

• Earn $32.50 per audio hour – the more you work, the more you make!
• Complete 1 audio hour of transcription for every 5 hours you work – making the most of your time.
• Work a minimum 10 hours a week – perfect for a flexible earning option

Potential Weekly Earnings Breakdown:

• $32.50 per audio hour
• 0.2 audio hours/hour × 10 hours/week = 2.0 audio hours/week
• 2.0 audio hours × $32.50 = $65.00/week

Earn $65. weekly with minimum 10 hours of work. More hours = higher earnings.
