This role is 100 percent focused on Google Maps visibility through Google Business Profile optimization.

You are not doing general SEO.
You are not building backlinks for blogs.
You are not writing long form website content.

Your sole responsibility is to get clients ranking higher in Google Maps and keep them there through correct Google Business Profile setup, optimization, tracking, and ongoing maintenance.

This role directly impacts phone calls, booked jobs, and revenue for our clients.

Core Objective

Increase client visibility, rankings, and conversions from Google Maps and local search results.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Google Business Profile Setup and Optimization

• Fully optimize Google Business Profiles within 8 business days of onboarding
• Ensure correct business name, primary category, secondary categories, and service areas
• Write and optimize GBP descriptions, services, and products for Google Maps rankings
• Configure website links, booking links, and contact details
• Add photos, videos, logos, and branded assets
• Create and publish Google posts
• Manage GBP Q and A

Google Maps Keyword and Competitor Research

• Research Google Maps results for target keywords
• Identify top ranking competitors in the map pack
• Analyze categories, titles, and service usage of competitors
• Document findings inside the Google Maps metrics template

Google Maps Ranking Tracking

• Set up map grid ranking reports inside Local Falcon
• Run nine by nine grid scans for all target keywords
• Monitor ranking movement weekly
• Flag drops or opportunities to the Strategy Lead immediately

Local Listing and Citation Accuracy

• Ensure name address phone consistency across all platforms
• Optimize directory listings that support Google Maps trust
• Link all profiles to the correct local landing pages
• Upload images and business details consistently

Review Management for Google Maps

• Monitor Google reviews monthly
• Respond to positive reviews using approved prompts
• Escalate negative reviews immediately
• Submit review removal requests when applicable
• Coordinate with Google support when disputes are required

Ongoing Google Maps Maintenance

• Update GBP titles if keywords are removed or rankings drop
• Publish posts when new content goes live
• Keep profiles active and compliant with Google guidelines
• Maintain clean accurate listings at all times
