Job summary

EEI Power in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Customs Compliance Specialist to oversee import/export operations and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and corporate policies.

You will manage permits and EEI documentation for EEI and its subsidiaries, coordinate with internal teams for product classification and tariff schedules, and liaise with freight forwarders to resolve shipment issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in import-export compliance or 7 years in a related support role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine and international customs, logistics, and HTS.
• Experience in duty drawback and US customs procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP/SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage high workloads under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee import/export operations and ensure compliance with customs regulations and corporate policies.
• Manage permits, licenses, and documentation for EEI and its subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with internal teams for product classification, tariff schedules, and costing.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers to resolve shipment and clearance issues.
• Maintain accurate records and conduct regular audits of import/export files.
• Ensure proper tariff classification and valuation of goods.
• Respond to customs inquiries and secure necessary certifications.
• Monitor broker activities and ensure legal compliance with trade regulations.
