Job summary

Vestas seeks an experienced Tax Operations Leader to join the Global Finance SSC, focusing on VAT/tax controlling, reporting, and centralization efforts. The role partners with regional and global tax teams to ensure timely, accurate tax delivery across regions and to drive standardization and continuous improvement in tax processes.

Candidates should have 10+ years in tax operations within Global Shared Services or multinational settings, strong leadership, and data analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in tax operations, reporting and compliance.
• Experience in Global Shared Services, BPO, or multinational environments; migration to central offshore team preferred.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
• Strong knowledge of indirect and direct taxes, transfer pricing, Intrastat and other statistical reporting.
• Experience in process standardization, optimization, and efficiency improvements.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Problem-solving, root cause analysis, and data analytics exposure.
• Performance management experience and ability to manage KPIs and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Tax Operations, drive team performance, and ensure timely and accurate tax compliance delivery.
• Lead migration, centralization, and stabilization of tax operations in SSC.
• Coordinate with global/regional tax teams to align objectives and deliverables.
• Oversee monthly tax activities and reporting submissions to meet deadlines.
• Provide tax guidance and training across the organization.
• Act as escalation point for operational and compliance issues and manage workload against KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of tax processes.
