Job summary

Synchrony seeks an AVP Sourcing to lead complex global sourcing initiatives across the US and Philippines. You will manage supplier onboarding, risk, and contract terms while driving productivity and cost reductions.

The role requires collaboration with business leaders and Legal, and oversight of RFIs/RFPs, market research, and supplier qualifications. You will create strategic plans, develop category strategies for technology, marketing, and facilities, and align with the Sourcing Team Leader

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in financial services or insurance, with supplier risk management experience.
8+ years in Sourcing including category management, contract negotiations and supplier management.

Responsibilities

Engage business owners and sourcing leaders to plan and execute initiatives that meet business needs.
Drive productivity, cost savings, and rationalization opportunities across global markets (US and Philippines).
Review and modify contractual terms with Legal and business owners.
Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and reputational requirements across the sourcing process.
Conduct RFIs/RFPs, market research, supplier qualification, and competitive analysis.
Utilize Source to Pay tools to drive competition and cost reductions.
Support implementation of sourcing process improvements and supplier strategies.
Coordinate with Sourcing Team Leader to align with business goals and manage multiple priorities.
Work across time zones (EST) and provide executive-ready materials.
