Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Settlement Team in Manila. You will ensure settlement reporting, reconciliations, and accounting activities are completed accurately and on time, supporting informed business decisions and financial integrity.

You will identify variances, strengthen controls, and support process improvements across the organization, with growth opportunities within a global payments environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience with exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, or general accounting activities.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Oracle, Frontier, SAP, or similar systems.
• Ability to analyze discrepancies, manage priorities, communicate with stakeholders, and deliver accurate results in a deadline-driven environment.
• CPA designation or equivalent is a bonus.
• Experience gained through Big 4 accounting firms, audit engagements, or accounting internships.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tools and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial accuracy and operational excellence by ensuring settlement reporting, reconciliations, and accounting activities are completed on time and to high standards.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve financial variances to minimize risk and improve reporting accuracy.
• Support system enhancements, process automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies to increase productivity and scalability.
• Assist with audit readiness and governance by maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to policies.
