You will define testing strategies, mentor engineers, and drive automation using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Playwright, and Visual Studio while ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software for energy utilities.

Qualifications

• EMS/GMS/SCADA experience with energy utilities and network power knowledge.
• Experience in test management using Zephyr Scale, Jira and Azure DevOps.
• QA principles with automated tests using Visual Studio, NUnit, TestNG, Playwright; C# and Java skills; Copilot AI tools preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of experience; work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy.
• Ability to develop innovative solutions and make quality-related decisions.
• Diversified knowledge of engineering, electric utilities and related functions.
• In-depth knowledge of QA programs, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the quality group and its testing efforts for EMS, GMS, and SCADA applications.
• Use business requirements, solution designs and functional specifications to plan testing approach and data creation.
• Design and develop functional and non-functional use cases and test cases to verify objectives.
• Effectively use test management tools to maintain and execute test scripts and report progress.
• Create test plans and strategies for SCADA, EMS, and GMS applications.
• Identify, track and investigate issues found during testing.
• Collaborate with PD team to replicate, fix and verify corrections.
• Provide feedback on challenges and product limitations uncovered during testing.
• Gain domain knowledge to take responsibility for the full product life cycle development.
• Use Agile methodologies and participate in all team duties.
• Create automated test scripts, including API and UI code, and create manual test scripts.
• Train and mentor others on testing methodologies to improve software quality.
