Job summary

IQVIA seeks a Medical Director to lead medical and scientific efforts across global clinical research programs. You will partner with project teams, investigators, and clients to support protocol execution, safety, and scientific excellence.

In addition to medical monitoring, you will provide strategic medical insight for business development, proposal design, and study concepts, shaping innovative solutions for clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited school with a current license.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice and 5–7 years in clinical medicine/research.
• Experience in pharma, CRO, biotech, or healthcare industry is required.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Global and/or Regional Medical Advisor on assigned projects.
• Provide medical and scientific guidance to teams to ensure patient safety and protocol integrity.
• Support protocol interpretation, eligibility assessments, and safety-related matters.
• Review study protocols, CRFs, and regulatory documents for medical accuracy.
• Deliver therapeutic area training to clinical teams and present at meetings.
• Review AEs, support SAE assessment with Pharmacovigilance, and contribute to safety evaluations.
• Contribute to AOSE analyses and adverse event coding reviews.
• Prepare medical input for CSRs and patient narratives.
• Provide medical support for protocol-related inquiries from investigators.
• Advise on study delivery strategies and contribute to proposals and feasibility assessments.
• Engage with clients, investigators, and external partners on scientific discussions.
• Stay updated on scientific, clinical, and regulatory developments.
