Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Manila is seeking a Global Emerging Markets Analyst to join the sales and trading function. You will interact with clients, monitor market risk, and assist with trade execution and post-trade processes.

The role also involves coordinating with operations, settlements and KYC to ensure smooth delivery of products. This dual exposure provides a broad view of market dynamics, risk management and client relationship management within a premier Global Markets platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or Business Administration or equivalent.
• Background in the banking industry - Corporate & Investment Banking trading, sales, middle office, analytics.
• Good understanding of complex financial products and the full trade lifecycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to simplify complex ideas and present them clearly to diverse teams.
• Knowledge in MS Office products.
• Knowledge in VBA, Python or programming languages is a plus.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows and ensure responsible use of data and AI outputs.
• Amenable to working full onsite.

Responsibilities

• Trade Execution & Lifecycle: Assist in seamless execution and booking of trades, liaise with middle- and back-office teams to resolve discrepancies or settlement issues.
• Client Management: Help answer client questions regarding trade settlement, liaise with infrastructure teams, assist with KYC reviews and client onboarding to electronic trading channels.
• Market Analysis & Pricing: Assist traders in pricing derivative instruments, structured products, or cash instruments using internal models and market data.
• Risk & Position Monitoring: Monitor intraday and end-of-day positions, risk positions, and P&L attribution.
• Idea Generation: Understand client requirements and suggest actionable strategies to meet investment or risk goals.
• Client Pitch Materials: Help prepare pitch books and client presentations.
• Market Commentary: Assist in drafting market wrap-ups and distributing to internal and external desks.
