Job summary

Deutsche Bank is seeking a Global Emerging Markets Analyst to join our team in a client-focused, data-driven role within the sales and trading environment. You will assist with trade execution, market analysis, and risk monitoring while coordinating with Sales, Operations, and KYC teams to ensure smooth client delivery.

You will engage in market commentary, pricing support, and client communications, contributing to desk performance and risk management in a fast-paced banking setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or Business Administration.
• Background in banking, especially Corporate & Investment Banking trading/sales/middle office/analytics.
• Strong understanding of complex financial products and full trade lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in trade execution and lifecycle management; coordinate with middle- and back-office teams.
• Support client inquiries on trade settlements and KYC, onboarding clients to electronic channels.
• Help analysts price derivatives, structured products, or cash instruments using internal models and market data.
• Monitor intraday and end-of-day risk positions and P&L attribution.
• Generate ideas and client-ready materials for pitches and market commentary.
• Prepare client-facing pitch books and market wrap-ups for internal and external desks.

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Global Emerging Markets Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be involved within the sales and trading function by interacting with clients, monitoring market risk, executing trades under supervision, and managing daily desk operations. Additionally, you will act as a key bridge to our Sales team, assisting with client-facing activities, preparing market commentary, and coordinating with various infrastructure functions including operations, settlements, and Know-Your-Customer (KYC), to ensure smooth delivery of product to our clients.

This dual exposure offers a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the market environment, risk management, and client relationship management within a premier Global Markets platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Trade Execution & Lifecycle: Assist in the seamless execution and booking of trades; liaise with middle- and back-office teams to resolve booking discrepancies or settlement issues;
• Client Management: Help answer client questions regarding trade settlement, and liaise with infrastructure teams to investigate issues; Assist in providing and/or obtaining information necessary to accomplish periodic KYC reviews for GEM clients; assist in the onboarding and maintenance of Clients to our electronic trading channels
• Market Analysis & Pricing: Assist traders in pricing derivative instruments, structured products, or cash instruments using internal models and market data.
• Risk & Position Monitoring: Monitor intraday and end-of-day positions, risk positions, and Profit & Loss (P&L) attribution;
• Idea Generation: Understand client requirements and suggest actionable strategies to help clients achieve their investment or risk management goals;
• Client Pitch Materials: Help prepare pitch books, client presentations, and other materials intended for clients;
• Market Commentary: Assist in drafting and/or disseminating market wrap-ups and distributing them to internal sales desks and external clients

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor's Degree in either Math, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration or its equivalent
• Background in the banking industry – preferably Corporate and Investment Banking – Trading, Sales, Middle Office, Analytics
• Good understanding of complex financial products and the full trade lifecycle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to simplify complex ideas and presenting them clearly to diverse teams
• Knowledge in MS Office products
• Knowledge in VBA, Python or programming languages is a plus
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
• Amenable to working full onsite
