Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking a General Ledger Accountant in Taguig, Philippines. You will join the Corporate Financial Services Manila team and handle day-to-day shared services activities including period-end closes, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.

You will collaborate with local and global stakeholders to deliver timely financial reporting, support audits, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA designation is an advantage.
At least 3 years of Record-to-Report (RTR) experience in a complex, multi-country shared services environment.
Experience in intercompany, inventory, and product costing is advantageous.
Strong English communication skills and proficiency with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

Manage period-end close activities including posting GL journal entries (accruals, prepayments, intercompany, fixed assets).
Review and reconcile intercompany accounts with Abbott locations globally.
Prepare monthly financial and trend reports in a timely, accurate manner.
Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations and assist audit requirements.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation and timelines.
Support audit responses and remediation of findings as required.
