Job summary

UL Solutions, a global leader in safety science, is seeking a seasoned technology leader to act as the Manila site head. You will translate enterprise strategy into local priorities, lead diverse teams across software, data, and operations, and manage a blended workforce of employees and contractors.

You will drive workforce planning, vendor governance, and continuous delivery improvements while aligning with global stakeholders and ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10–15+ years leading technology delivery, engineering, data/analytics or related areas.
• Experience guiding large tech organizations (75+ people; 100–300 preferred).
• Direct experience managing managers, ICs, and contractors.
• Background in global capability centers, offshore delivery, or shared services.
• Strong SDLC, Agile, DevOps, service management and vendor governance knowledge.
• Experience in workforce planning, succession, and retention.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-cultural models.
• Ability to communicate with executives across HR, Finance, Real Estate, Procurement, etc.
• Change management and AI-driven transformation experience a plus.
• Familiarity with metrics, KPIs, SLAs, budgets, and vendor scorecards.
• AI/automation impact awareness; deep AI tech knowledge not required.
• Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, AWS, Azure are advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Global Technology leadership locally and translate strategy into site priorities and execution plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary technology teams across software engineering, data/analytics, AI/automation, service management, and delivery.
• Manage a blended workforce of employees and contractors, including managers and individual contributors.
• Partner with GT Vendor Management Office and Global Sourcing to manage staffing vendors and governance.
• Drive workforce planning, capacity management, succession planning, talent development, engagement and retention.
• Run monthly operational reviews, track KPIs and SLAs, improve delivery predictability, and manage budgets/headcount.
• Support global delivery models, follow-the-sun operations, scalability, cost optimization, and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Lead organizational change, vendor consolidation, AI-enabled transformation as needed.
• Promote automation adoption and productivity opportunities; help teams adapt to evolving delivery models.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, data privacy expectations, and security requirements.
