Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Import/Logistics Specialist to oversee end-to-end import processes from overseas suppliers to the company. You will manage documentation, customs clearance, shipment coordination, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with suppliers, freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams.

The role requires knowledge of Incoterms, trade rules, and import docs, with attention to detail and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, International Trade, or related field preferred.
• Understanding of import/export procedures, customs rules, Incoterms, and international trade practices.
• Familiar with common import documents and customs systems/platforms.
• Basic knowledge of tariffs, taxes, and trade compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; organized and methodical work style.
• Good communication and coordination skills (internal + external parties).
• Problem-solving and ability to handle pressure and urgent situations.
• Computer literate: MS Office, Excel, logistics software, or ERP systems.
• English proficiency (written & spoken) for international communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage full import process, documentation, and compliance for timely movement of goods.
• Prepare, check, and process all import documents including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and brokers to arrange pickup, shipping, and delivery.
• Track shipments from origin to arrival and report progress to internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and Incoterms.
• Reconcile shipping costs and assist finance with payments and cost verification.
• Generate regular reports on shipment status, costs, and compliance.
