Job summary

Merck Group is seeking a Finance professional to support cost accounting and profitability analysis within a global Shared Service Center. You will assist local finance teams, manage postings and overhead costs, and maintain master data across cost centers and projects.

You will work with SAP CO-OM/CO-PA and MDG-F tools, handling monthly/ quarterly closures and ensuring data integrity in line with international guidelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in a business related discipline strongly preferred.
• Initial experience in accounting/finance with full-cycle cost accounting and profitability analysis.
• Experience within a Shared Services Center is preferred.
• Experience with Cost Accounting and Profitability Accounting.
• Experience with SAP CO-OM and SAP CO-PA.

Responsibilities

• Support cost accounting and profitability analysis for entities in a global Shared Service Center.
• Assist local finance and controlling units with cost accounting and profitability analysis.
• Manage maintenance and posting processes in cost accounting for accurate overhead costs.
• Maintain cost accounting master data per global guidelines and integrity rules.
• Establish valid sets of cost centers, internal orders and projects.
• Handle master data requests via mailbox and MDG-F tool including transfer price updates, reports, and troubleshooting.
• Support period-end closing activities and reports in line with international standards.
