Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an experienced auditor to support international assignments across EMEA, APAC and Americas. The role focuses on GAAP-compliant financial statement prep, client relationship development, and project leadership within a collaborative team.

You will mentor staff, manage assignment budgets, and contribute to delivering high quality audits and IFRS reporting for multinational clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PQE practical experience of auditing or preparing financial statements.
• Experience in a Top 20 accounting practice.
• Desire to broaden international experience across EMEA, APAC and Americas.
• Strong communication and report writing abilities with good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements with GAAP compliance.
• Manage and mentor staff on assignments.
• Design and implement project plans and ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Develop and maintain key client relationships across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver high quality audits and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• previous experience of working with MNC’s an advantage but not a requirement, this could be in an industry or practice setting;
• desire to broaden international experience through working with and auditing companies across a number of jurisdictions in EMEA, APAC and Americas;
• strong experience in the preparation of financial statements;
• assist in maintaining and developing key client relationships;
• design and implementation of project plans;
• ensure completion of assignments within appropriate budget and timeframe;
• self-motivated and ability to work within a team;
• manage a team while on assignment;
• responsible for development and mentoring staff;
• working knowledge of Caseware for accounts preparation;
• experience of using an electronic auditing package an advantage;
• proficient accountant, with a strong understanding of GAAP;
• strong communicator, highly articulate with good report writing and excel skills;
• commercial / business awareness;
• a passion for client service;
• a genuine interest in IFRS and financial reporting in general;
• ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of developments (particularly IFRS).
