Job summary

Satellite Office is seeking a GK Developer to design, develop, and support the GK POS/Store Commerce platform across our retail store network. The role requires hands-on experience with GK POS, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and POS integrations with ERP/OMS/eCommerce.

Responsibilities include implementing POS solutions, leading production support activities, and collaborating with stakeholders to document requirements for enhancements and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Retail/QSR POS systems and store operations.
• Strong GK POS/Other POS technical and functional expertise with hands-on GK POS/Retail Store Commerce experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and SQL.
• Experience with Node.js to support and maintain existing custom Node.js applications.
• Deep understanding of POS architecture, transactions, payments, returns, promotions, receipts, and recovery workflows.
• Experience with POS integrations including ERP, OMS, payment gateway, and eCommerce platforms.
• Strong production support background incl. incident management, RCA, release/defect triage.
• Frontend knowledge with Vue.js/JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
• Cloud and observability tools experience is a plus.

Summary

The organization is seeking a GK Developer who will be responsible for the design, development, and support of our GK POS (Store Commerce) platform across our retail store network.

As a part of the technology team, this role involves working closely with business stakeholders, store operations, and software team members in designing, implementing, and supporting point-of-sale solutions that support our retail, ecommerce, and store operations.

Responsibilities

• This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting our GK POS / GK Retail Store Commerce platform, ensuring reliable point-of-sale operations, integrations, and production support across our retail store network
• This is a full-time, hands-on technical role requiring strong knowledge of retail POS systems, store operations, and production support processes
• Design, develop, and maintain GK POS / GK Retail Store Commerce solutions supporting transaction processing, payments, returns, promotions, and receipts
• Lead production support efforts, including incident management, major incident handling, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management
• Develop and maintain integrations between GK POS and ERP, OMS, payment gateway, and eCommerce platforms
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, store operations, and engineering teams to identify and document requirements for system enhancements and integrations
• Troubleshoot complex production issues through log analysis and system diagnostics
• Coordinate with vendors, architects, and engineering teams, and manage escalations with clear communication during critical incidents

• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, or CloudWatch is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and functional architecture is a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application support is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
