Job summary

SAN MIGUEL GLOBAL POWER HOLDINGS CORP. in Ned Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, seeks a Geologist to support coal mining operations.

The role focuses on mapping and sampling, providing engineering and mine planning geological interpretation, and evaluating mining areas based on field data. You will interpret faults, folds and other structures, map coal quality daily, and ensure accurate laboratory analysis of coal samples.

Qualifications

• Experienced in coal mapping and sampling in mining areas with drilling activities.
• Provide engineering & mine planning geological interpretation and evaluation based on field data.
• Interpret and evaluate geological structures affecting coal and interburden materials.
• Daily mapping of faults, folds, and coal quality for extraction.

Responsibilities

• Map fault or fold structures and coal quality for extraction on a daily basis.
• Perform geological interpretation for mine planning and evaluation.
• Coordinate with laboratory analysis of coal quality data.

Job description

1. Experienced in coal mapping and sampling in mining areas, including drilling activities

2. Provide engineering & mine planning geological interpretation and evaluation of a mine working area based on mapping and coal samples collected from the active mining area for Laboratory analysis of coal quality.

3. Geological interpretation and evaluation of the mining area i.e. fault, folds, and other geological structures that will affect the coal and inter burden materials for the exaction.

4. Mapping of fault or fold structures and coal quality for extraction on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of BS Geology

2. Must be a Licensed Geologist

3. With at least 3-5 years of experience as a Geologist in coal mining.
